In the latest episode of her podcast Confessions of a Female Founder, Meghan Markle shared a surprisingly relatable confession about her approach to cooking.
During her conversation with Heather Hasson, founder of healthcare apparel brand FIGS, Meghan, 43, opened up about her lifestyle, particularly her cooking habits.
At the start of the podcast, Heather complimented Meghan’s new Netflix lifestyle show With Love, Meghan, which debuted in March. The show sees Meghan share tips on cooking, gardening, and hosting, featuring a range of guests from famous friends to culinary experts.
When Heather admitted to being a “terrible” cook, Meghan revealed that she too struggles with finding time to cook fresh meals every day. Instead, she finds creative ways to elevate takeaway food by incorporating fresh produce from her garden.
“I don’t have time to cook every day, but when I see vegetables and takeout, I think, ‘How can I make this flattering, beautiful, and appetizing?'” Meghan explained. “It’s about making it simple and presentable without feeling like a daunting task.”
She further emphasized her approach to cooking by saying, “The key is making everyday solutions simple. How do I get my hands involved and change the way of thinking surrounding it so it doesn’t feel complicated?”
This candid moment reflects Meghan’s down-to-earth approach to family life, showing how even in a busy household, small moments of creativity and simplicity can make all the difference.
